Having more than 4 children. If you desire a family larger than that, adopt. Help existing children who need families.
Family beds- just weird.
Giving teenagers really nice cars. They're either going to wreck them or not take care of them, and they're never going to know the value of earning a nice car because they were given a luxury car at 16. It makes kids into assholes.
Paying your kid's entire way through college. Give them some skin in the game so they have some sort of incentive to choose a useful major, do well, get a well paying job afterward.
Accepting money from your parents as a capable adult just so you can live a better lifestyle than you yourself could afford.

I'm anti-CIO, anti-cric, anti-religion poster and want to add to my list that I also oppose you.
The only thing on your list I agree with is not hiring illegal immigrants, because we should be providing a path to citizenship and hiring illegal immigrants exploits them.
Why should we be doing this?
Because we want to attract hard-working immigrants like our grandparents and great-grandparents so they can displace the lazy, entitled pieces of shit who would rather soak up entitlement money than work.
No, we don't and shouldn't. The idea of the lazy American is a myth people tell themselves to justify paying their nanny/housekeeper below living wages.
The idea that America owes immigrants a better life is faulty.
Americans ARE lazy. I should know, I am American and my hometown is a sorry pile of crap, thanks to the lazy idiots who live there and don't want to work hard (most of the south is like this, btw).
If you don't think America should welcome immigrants, please turn in your passport and head back to wherever your family came over from.

And given the lengths to which many Muslim women go to look absolutely gorgeous -- clothes, makeup, nails, jewelry -- I just don't buy it.
Some Muslim wear the hijab for strictly social reasons (ie, as a trend, like other trends their peers wear).
Believe it or not, hijab is a choice for most Muslim women - especially in the US.
And some Muslim women wear it out of strict laziness - putting effort into doing your hair every day is a pain in the ass. A college roommate of mine wore it for this reason, and this reason alone.

No one said they were going to. I, however, can think of quite a few reasons why formula feeding is necessary, and am wondering what your perception is. That's all.
Yeah right. You want the pp to state her reasons so you can cut them down and then ultimately call her an idiot.
You're assigning an ulterior motive to me that doesn't exist. Seriously. I'm just curious. If you must know, my first was formula-fed b/c she was adopted as an older infant. Is an adoption considered imminent peril? Also, my 2nd was unable to nurse so I exclusively pumped and busted my ass for a year to provide exclusive breastmilk. I believe in nursing, I just couldn't do it (or more accurately, my baby couldn't). I had a vaginal birth, so no c-section here, though I'm guilty as charged in regards to an epidural. There- does that help with my intent?

Every time I see it, it makes me angry. I have to refocus my liberal, feminist values to remind me that everyone gets to wear whatever they want, none of my beeswax.
But in my heart I "oppose" it.
I don't feel this way about the hijab, because I know the extremely varied reasons that Muslim women wear it - and that many women wear it as a big "fuck you" to patriarchy. I don't wear hijab, but I am Muslim.
However, I feel this way about the niqab or any other facial coverings. They are nowhere in the same league as hair coverings. I will never ever support face coverings, but couldn't give two shits about hijab or hair covers.
Do you mean the patriarchy who wants them to wear it?! Yeah, big f*ck you they have going there. Give me a break.
No, I mean that there are pressures for women, beauty, and hair. Many Muslim wear it as a "fuck you" to those beauty standards imposed on women. Think of it as like a Muslim version of letting your leg hair grow out, or armpit hair grow out. It's a "fuck you" to the system of what social beauty standards are imposed on women.
Yes, I am sure the men of the culture are offended by that statement. Sounds like the men came up with a "feminist" stance for the modern Muslim gals to get behind while still following the patriarchy.
The hijabi girls I know from EXTREMELY liberal and female-positive Muslim families, families that generally oppose hair coverings, would disagree. Believe it or not, attitudes and reasons change, and the reasons why people do things are highly variable. And not for you to decide. Strangely, what other people do, is not all about you (I know this may be difficult for you to comprehend).
Oh I am sorry I thought I was posting to a DCUM's thread about things you oppose. Sorry my bad. Best of luck to those "radical" women. *snicker*
