DP but for starters, one is a student protest group and one is an affiliate of the Republican Party with ties to the current administration (including some people who have worked in government).

To be clear I don’t agree with the message “death to collaborators.” But it seems to be students in response to a particular Gazan death.

Whereas the text chat was ongoing for months using slurs over 250 times. These are the people age 18-40 in line to take over the Republican Party. And we haven’t heard any condemnation from the White House …

I certainly agree that the Young Republicans’ messaging is loathsome, despicable, and that those responsible should be sh*tcanned from every position they currently hold.

But your distinctions between them and SJP are tenuous at best.

Both groups are leaders of their movement (SJP is national and was instrumental in organizing protests across the US).

Secondly, this is hardly a “one off” from SJP. Multiple statements and actions supporting Hamas.

Bottom line: if we’re going to use statements by some members of a movement to draw conclusions about *everyone* in a movement (as many here are doing), we should apply that logic consistently and without partisan bias.

Me? I think some/many MAGA are racists, some/many are not.

And unfortunately they are going to find out, along with the Hispanic and Asian Trump voters, that it wasn't a good idea.

If your family isn't white or wasn't in the United States before the Civil War, the masterminds behind the current Trump administration don't want you here. They have stated this in public.

I am a non-white immigrant and my family feels more welcome here in US than ever before. I don't know who are you referring to as "they", but me and my children were very welcome here. Absolutely no regret for voting for Trump.

But look at how Ramaswamy was treated at the recent Turning Point USA event or the slurs in the young republicans text chat.
