At least Demi Moore stepped away from Hollywood and took a break to raise her kids for a while.
And her career took a major hit from that decision. Then she was a mess for a while. I would say women like Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts found more of a middle ground, without sacrificing much. Even Angelina Jolie took pretty long breaks between projects.
And?
Good mothers don’t prioritize sustaining A list celeb status over being present for their kids.
Jolie and Roberts aren’t good people imho. They’ve done some pretty crappy things. Bullock seems like a good human being; she hasn’t dumped her kids on hired help to chase her career.
Nicole seems like she has a lot of issues.
Why so much judgement on what is a 'good' mother?

And you know this how?
Do you know it isn't true?

But I have thought that loving and supporting NK as a partner/spouse seems like it would be exhausting. She's just absolutely insatiable. Nothing is good enough or enough for her.
So you live with them? You know this how?
Oh you need to live with anyone you post about on here? Is that like a rule?
NK herself has said in interview after interview that "the yearning never stops" and even talked about how KU encourages her to try to shut it down and be more in the moment. This is what she said, not some big inside scoop.
You can post but to act like you know what is really going on is foolish.
You come off angry...are you ok? In the end this should affect you this much
I don't think NK was angry when she made those comments. She's said she "feels things deeply" and probably why the deep "yearning never stops". Artists can be like that. She's not the first.

He probably made his unhappiness clear for a while, and she ignored him. That doesn't excuse cheating, if that's what happened, but this kind of mid-life split rarely comes out of nowhere. Of course maybe she was a fabulous wife and he's just a selfish jerk. We'll never know for sure.
I always side-eye someone who claims to be blindsided by a split.

Love Demi, but she was very clear in her memoir that even after stepping back from Hollywood, her addictions resurfaced during the end of her relationship with Ashton, and she was estranged from her kids for a period of time.
I still think she is a good mother. But we’re super judgmental of all women no matter what they do.
Nicole works a lot, possibly more than Urban…but instead of spending time with kids, it seems like he developed plenty of time to have an affair. And looking at the custody arrangement he has plenty of time to continue that. How nice for him. Guarantee he will largely keep his reputation as a GREAT DAD if is so much as photographed with one of his kids in the next five years but we will continue to vilify Nicole for neglecting her marriage and working too much.
