How long did you stop having sex for? Other than when I our children, I don’t think we have gone more than a week without having sex. It would take six months to lose 30lbs at 1-2 lbs/wk. Not to mention the time he wasn’t having sex with you before you lost the weight.
That seems kind of wild.

DP. My husband didn’t want to have sex with me when I gained 30 lbs during a mental health situation. I don’t blame him. I am only 5’2 and the extra weight made me look and feel awful. I’ve lost the weight and everything went back on track.

And here's the on-thread answer. What makes a man unattractive to a woman isn't necessarily what he looks like. The hottest man in the world being openly racist, sexist, redhatty or just plain stupid makes my downstairs desert dry. Female sexual desire isn't the pornified, ad-fueled, reductive, "human as object" nonsense that men have apparently accepted as some sort of biological default (it isn't). At least, not yet.

"He was really hot... until he opened his mouth" is a thing women say. Like our emotional range, our desire is still allowed to be complex and nuanced (for now). Most of us don't want to be with someone who just treats us like an object, at least not all the time.

Refusing to have sex with a "partner" who tasks you with all the household/childcare/emotional labor isn't anywhere comparable to "I'd have stuck it in her if she was 20 pounds lighter".

If you're dying of thirst and someone offers you water, but you reject it because it's not the fancy brand you like best, your death by dehydration is your own fault. If men create whole forums devoted to hating the women who won't have sex with them, but DQ any woman who isn't a size 2 or smaller and an 8+ on whatever gross scale men use to rate women as objects, well, guess who's responsible for them not getting laid...

And women don't do this. We really don't. Maybe there are some super vain women who would rather not have sex than have sex with a man who doesn't meet some impossibly-high standard, but that 6-foot, 6 figures, 6... logic is men projecting their sexual dysfunction onto women (or their idea of women, since most "men" who think that way don't seem to know many).

I'm sorry men were somehow conditioned by ads and porn to think that only women who look and sound a certain way are desireable. Maybe if more of you used more of the big head on your shoulders you'd be able to expand your "effability" spectrum and get laid more often? Women do this ALL. THE. TIME.

Women don’t launch entire social movements designed around the idea that they are entitled to sex with men that are more attractive than they are.

If a woman can’t have sex with someone she wants to have sex with, she just doesn’t have sex. She doesn’t die, doesn’t become a bitter angry incel. She just moves on and gets a pet.
