Nope, that's Nurse Jesse Van Horn. Neat actor (Ned Brower), and a real life nurse.

Sorry, but male nurses creep me out.

That is absolutely ridiculous and you should feel ashamed.

It’s an opinion. I feel more comfortable with female nurses. Male OBGYNs also creep me out. Deal with it.

DP. Yeah no, that's a you thing. You have to go deal with it. We just are free to judge you.

I do by seeing only female obgyns. Many women feel more comfortable with women. Nothing to feel ashamed about.

The shooting must mean everybody works overtime.

The preview has them calling for, "wartime medicine" with a mass shooting. I'm not in medicine but I get the impression official shifts probably go out the door in times like that... I have an MD friend who had to respond to a mass shooting on basically the first day of residency (not literally, but not far from it) and it was like anyone with a degree was asked to rise to the occasion and step up in ways that would be considered unorthodox under more "normal" ER circumstances.

Intentionally similar to what happened during Covid, when first year medical and nursing students went to work, people came out of retirement, etc. The show is structured around how this ED is faring five years after Covid, the PTSD of the people who went through it, etc. An event like this is likely even more triggering.

Holy crap - last night’s episode was intense. How the hell did they film that birth? Was that fake?? That looked so real! I can’t believe they showed a birth like that!

We learned that Jake was more like a surrogate stepson - Robbie and his mother dated. I wonder who his mother is. Could it be Dr. Collins?

I still don’t feel like Robby and Collins seem plausible at all. I don’t feel any chemistry. Dr. Collins is growing on me though. I’m not sure if she was pregnant with Robby’s kid and never told him or that was truly someone else she was talking about. I’m guessing someone else because Robby was too cool about it.

And the mass shooting at the Pitt festival - could it have anything to do with that woman’s son who made a list of girls he wanted to eliminate? Obviously Jake will be hurt.

Dana saying she wanted to quit was heartbreaking. We need her!

Great episode!

Shawn Hatosy was on Felicity for an episode or two 25 years ago.

Somehow this week's episode was more difficult for me than the previous ones. I think it was the birth -- my own childbirth experience was not as traumatic as that but it still brought back difficult memories. I think that combined with the impending sense of doom with Langdon gone and then Robbie sending Collins home as well.

That scene with Robbie and Collins, whew. So... was she telling him that she got pregnant while they were dating and had an abortion? That's what that meant, right? I am really heartbroken for Collins and don't want her to give up.

Looks like Dr. Abbot (the night shift attending, the one from the roof in the first episode) is back next week to help with the GSWs. The actor is Shawn Hatosy, who has been working consistently in TV forever and been in everything, for a couple episodes. He's a real HITG (hey! it's that guy) in the best possible way. He's been in four different iterations of Law & Order! I really liked his chemistry with Noah Wylie in that quick scene from the first episode and am looking forward to seeing them work together.
