Your dog running up into my space, putting paws on me or my dog, is a violation of the law basically everywhere in the U.S. I've ever been. So yes, it is against the law, and against all decency and common sense, to let your animal invade other people's personal space.

I don't know what you're referring to, nor do I need to provide you with a law saying "consequences for breaking the laws designed to keep you safe should be expected." If my dog and I are minding our business and you/your dog get in the way of that because you've broken the law and allowed your off-leash dog to run up on me/mine, I will not be found liable for any damage that may occur to your dog. You will likely be found liable for the simple act of allowing your dog in my space ($100 fine where i live), and you'll definitely be liable for any damage that occurs to me/my dog.

It's not so much that we're entitled to attack; we're defending. Yes, my dog is entitled to self-defense from unleashed dogs and their law-breaking owners.

Also, a lot of common dog names and common kid names are the same or similar now. Please don't take your dog named Luna or Charlie to a local park unleashed as the odds some parent or kid will yell your dog's name is a really really high.

I followed the thread. The unofficial dog park term was accurate. Certain areas of parks allow unleashed dogs during certain hours. So yes, an unofficial dog park.

Also, a lot of common dog names and common kid names are the same or similar now. Please don't take your dog named Luna or Charlie to a local park unleashed as the odds some parent or kid will yell your dog's name is a really really high.
