But that also means the burden of the federal government falls on the working stiffs. A VAT for the wealthy, particularly those who don't buy much, is a huge windfall.

What’s super awesome about the tariff plan is that companies will be able to apply for an exemption. This means that companies that publically support Trump, both financially and in the press, will get these exemptions.

So, basically open bribery.
