Will surround himself with yes men and hidden figures. We won’t really know who is running the country (but presumably they aren’t wackos and have decent political experience)
Dem voters are voicing displeasure in him as a candidate and asking him to step aside. He and his inner circle are ignoring the very voters he claims he wants to “serve.”

I’m (NC voter) leaning toward holding my nose and voting for Trump. I think we have to send a message to Biden, his yes men, and the DNC that they can’t shove an incompetent candidate down our throats.
I’m a registered Dem and leaning this way also.
I don't think voting for Trump is sending the message you think. Voting third party would be sending the message - although the third party candidates are a hot mess too.
This isn’t real. Absolutely no Democrat will pull the Trump lever, ever, after the Supreme Court and Project 2025 and J6. Ds just need to get out to vote and they have the numbers to win, and that’s why the Trumpies want this chaos and infighting. Biden already beat Trump once, he’ll do it again.
I am a life long democrat and will not be pulling the Trump lever but will be voting third party - so, probably supporting Trump getting into office. I am sure I am not the only one. Dems had their chance to pull Biden and chose not to.

As far as I’m concerned, DNC created this mess in the primary by ignoring the majority’s opinion that Biden is too old. And left-wing media was complicit in covering up his mental decline. Voters are not to blame for not wanting to elect a candidate who is too far gone.
There was plenty of opportunity for people to elevate and rally around younger candidates.

As I recall if there were at least three candidates in the Democratic primary. Biden crystal Lady and Dean Phillips, who came in third behind Crystal lady.
If you want to blame someone, put it on Mitch McConnell, and the Republicans who had a chance to take Trump out after the insurrection. They chose not to and we are in this mess.
LOL.
Yeah - and the debates between those three candidates were on fire!!!! LOL. That was quite a primary the DNC had.
Nice attempt at trying to blame Republicans for your piss poor selection of a candidate.

An elderly guy goes to an event sick by his own admission and then heads to Waffle House afterwards WITHOUT A MASK. How far we have come!
Imagine this happening only 18 months ago when being a covid scold with an armchair degree in virology and epidemiology was all the rage. Oh, the pearl clutching at the sight of this dreadfully crass behavior!
America has shed its magical thinking—on this front, at least.
Onward!
Good point. But, nobody really believes he was sick. It was an excuse.
On another note...... 2nd gentleman, Doug Emhoff was diagnosed with Covid over the weekend. No big headlines about that either.
I thought he was sick. He sounded MUCH better the next day.
You can have a cold and dementia at the same time. His cold did not result in him making zero sense.
Same here. During the debate he was hoarse and congested and I kept thinking to myself "drink some water, Joe!" and he's been nowhere near as hoarse and congested since. Pretty obvious to me he had a cold, and anyone who didn't notice that maybe needs their armchair medical diagnosis credentials taken away for being clueless.
