I think that IVF is part of that gameplan of taking away the choice part for families of how they breed. It's all about traditions, religious freakdom and a very select few making the rules. The Evangelical Right's mission is to bring back a different time - they feel that in this day and age of various freedoms - LGBT and wokeness - they need to do a hard right to get back to a time they feel comfortable with.
I think esp in deep south, where religion and traditions reign, they can push this agenda but not throughout the entire country. What this does is splinter the country further and I'm less concerned if I live in a northern, progressive, Dem ruled state in the US that this will impact me as much as I would be in states that are not.

She had children via fertility treatments. “Embryos, to me, are babies,” Haley told NBC News in an interview, adding that she used artificial insemination to have her son, a different process than IVF that doesn’t present the same complexities around creating embryos in a lab. “When you talk about an embryo, you are talking about, to me, that’s a life. And so I do see where that’s coming from when they talk about that.”

Haley has decided that she didn't say the thing she said on camera

Did she just out her husband as being sterile?
Why did you leap to her husband being sterile? Artificial insemination in a heterosexual couple usually involves taking sperm from the male and transferring it to the uterus of the female. It can be required if the sperm count is low or they are not motile. It is usually a precursor to IVF.
However it is disgusting though not surprising that Haley would pander.

It's what she does. It's her worst trait.
Don't think supporting the end of IVF is going to get her many votes. 2 percent of births are IVF.
98% are not then.

That is 1 in 50 people under about 40 I would guess. Try to find a person that does not know or care about some one that is here on earth because of IVF. Doubt you can do it.
And?
What does that prove?

On the off chance she somehow stumbles into the nomination, she'll be pro choice. If there is one thing about her that's predictable, it's strong, heartfelt stances that shift to whatever she thinks will advance her career

No. But she did out herself as a giant hypocrite. Willing to let the doctors play God when it suits her but also willing to suggest other women should not. I have ZERO doubt she would have moved to ivf if iui hadn't been successful. Like many women who desperately want children. Pro life my ass.
