I told DH last night if she's the Bachelorette I will not watch. Her vocal fry is the most obnoxious and grating thing I've ever heard. Clearly, she was called on it, because last night during the live finale, it was gone. So obviously it was an affectation during filming.
I thought Jen was the most beautiful out of all of the candidates so I'm not surprised she was chosen to be the Bachelorette. I actually thought they might surprise us and give us Joey's sister (the pretty one) - she was rather gorgeous.

She wasn't a favorite because she seemed a little too stern schoolmarmish to me and we never saw much of her relationship with Joey. I had heard she got a bad edit though, and I believe it now. She'd be my pick for bachelorette, if she'd be amenable. I understand why she might not want it though, poor thing.
If the options are Daisy, Maria, or Rachel, my pick would 100% be Rachel. Maria's antics are tiresome and I would not enjoy watching her screw with a bunch of poor guys' heads for an entire season. Daisy seems dim and has no personality. Rachel is smart and sincere and, as we've now learned, funny. But the Maria stans would go after her hard (how DARE their princess not be selected instead). She's probably had enough already.
I liked Lexi but I just can't with her lips. Freshly filled last night and she looked ridiculous. Madina could be interesting. Jenn, liked her but can't tell if there's much "there" there. I liked Katelyn, too, but she didn't get much air time.
+1

I don’t know that I’m officially in the Maria cult but I think I’d like a Maria season. Given that so few of these people actually end up in lasting relationships and it’s hard for me to buy into a real love story with the Bachelor/ette format, I don’t mind a somewhat chaotic or dramatic season and Maria would bring that
Do they have The Bachelorette in Canada?
