The smoke literally woke me up early this morning. Forgot to close a window. Yuck

I cannot understand how someone's terrified of going outside for a couple of minutes, unless you are a person in seriously vulnerable health.

Why would you assume they are control freaks before you assume that they could be medically vulnerable. Many people have illnesses or are compromised in ways that are not visible to outsiders.

And for those who are truly hypochondriacs - that is also an illness in itself. It’s not something to make fun of because you’re fortunate enough not to experience it.

It's the judginess of others. I don't care what someone decided to do - wear a mask, stay indoors, etc. Calling people "anti-science" for going for a walk/jog when someone's in perfectly solid health... is completely ridiculous. The warnings for the DC area are about vulnerable populations. And those populations should take caution for themselves. Others are perfectly capable of going outdoors and seeing how their body feels.

Like with Covid, there's a certain segment of the population who desires to control others, because it satisfies *their* personal degree of control within themselves. Remember the yelling at others for not wearing a mask outside? Or for working out in parks with friends? It's the same control freak aholes, that think no one should be exercising outdoors this week.

Or maybe you need the keep up with the news. No one should be exercising outdoors.

I had drinks at the wharf yesterday and didn’t even notice the smoke. Hundreds of people walking around, definitely business as usual there.

Nope. I hate the thought of my mailman working outside today.

Same with blizzard.

So our outdoor camp is cancelled which is reasonable considering our area is almost 300. It is likely to get worse as the day goes on. My son was outside all day yesterday and I was okay with that when it was 150. At almost double, we can be outside in small doses.

Hopefully tomorrow is a better day and camp will re-open. I'll be working from an indoor play place while my kid runs around inside. Those places will be packed today. Working parents just get it from both ends lately.
And yes camp is back up care because my son's daycare is closed this week before all the ninnies come for me about not planning enough. 🤪

At the height of Covid not wearing a mask was selfish and could impact others so I did judge. This? Idgaf what you do since it only impacts you. So not the same.

I didn't notice any difference as I was breathing. Saw the fog and more masks though. There were only 5 kids on playground after school. Usually there are 200.
Going out again to sniff it all in to see if I can tell the difference.

I saw a guy walking outside with a young baby in a bjorn yesterday. It was a leisure walk in a suburban neighborhood. I was stunned.

And I noticed several homes with all their windows open.

It’s definitely noticeable today. Not just saying that the air smells bad. Smells like we live next to a factory.
