Yup it is, oh and the Post had an update today about the 12 year old who had previously been arrested on 9 carjackings, robberies, etc. He had for some reason been placed in a shelter house and not held at the juvie detention center and wait for it….he fled the insecure shelter and is at large. Yay DC and progressive criminal justice policies!
You can’t ethically just throw a 12 yo into prison. Get real. That kid needs help and not just empty punishment. 12!
A 12 year old who has racked up 9 violent offenses cannot just be left to run the streets and victimize more people. He absolutely should have been in a secure juvenile detention facility. No one said he should have been placed in an adult prison.

A Good Samaritan in Arlington got the sht kicked out of him last weekend when he tried to step in and help a woman in a domestic violence situation. No one is safe.
That has nothing to do with crime and everything to do with the psychology of abuse. I've stepped in a few times, (I'm a pretty big guy) always to be told -- by the woman being abused-- to mind my business.
A man that beats a woman in public is not tethered to any social mores or values. A normie has no chance in a fight like that.
He’s lucky he got his ass beat. He wins that fight and his prize is to star in a viral video as the face of white supremacy.

Having grown up in the Maryland suburbs, though, and lived in D.C. for most of my adult life, including all of the time I've been a parent, I don't think living in the suburbs is entirely free of cognitive dissonance. It's just caused by different things.
