+1. I am continually shocked at how bizarre men’s standards are. I know men who are overweight, bald, not rich, etc., that think they are entitled to date and marry ONLY the most beautiful women.

And this is honestly why the older single women I know are also. They had way too high superficial standards when young, didn’t give good men a chance, and now all those guys are off the market anyway. It’s important for men and women to have a realistic sense of self.

Looks matter more to men than women. Also if a woman has never been in a relationship it wouldn't be because of the man's looks but either social anxiety or bad experience with males in the past.

People are always leaving out the disabled in their sweeping statements.

My cousin is disabled and is married with kids for ten years now. The woman is hell though. My cousin had no shortage of women who flirted and no shortage of girlfriends. Why because men hold power to ask out who they want.

Yep exactly and I did exchange messages with this one woman on the city data forum and she told me she says she knows women in their 60s who have been alone their whole life or who have ever dated or never had a boyfriend before.

She says that she's serious, I believe her but of course at the same time it's just the last thing you'd expect for extreme cases like that to happen to a woman and I'm just bringing this up because that is the theme of this thread or just the subject or just staying on topic.

Men can also ask out lots of women and get rejected by all of them, a lot of people I've spoken to believe and think that women for all time are always less at risk than men are at being perpetually single or chronically single or alone like this due to how men for all time have always been expected to make the first move and ask the woman out and do the pursuing.

But it reminds me I did read some interesting posts in the citydata forum.

I read this and the TLDR version is she never got to date because she had a pituitary gland abnormality which made her tall with disproportionately oversized features. And all I could think of is how the inverse works out, with John Fetterman and his relatively attractive Brazilian wife.

Just most people and most of society will expect cases like this for women to be in anomaly since for all time women are always on the receiving end of sexual attention
