There was ZERO risk for DSCC (DNC is President) to boost Moreno. The other two candidates would be just as MAGA. Now they have great ads. Blake Masters anyone?

Yeah, I'm a Democrat who voted for Hogan's second term. I wouldn't even consider voting for him and allowing the Senate seat to flip red. I imagine once enough Democrats in Maryland realize he'll vote lockstep with Republicans and crater the nominations of a second Biden/Harris administration (of course, if that happens). I'll hold my nose and vote for Trone or whoever the Democrat is.

I voted twice for Hogan for governor but there is zero chance I’d consider voting for him in an election that could tip the senate.

Another issue with Hogan is that right now Hogan has virtually all of the Republican votes and many Independent votes based on name recognition. There are 6 other candidates with small numbers. The Democratic votes are currently split between Trone and Alsobrooks and another 8 candidates with small numbers.

Pre-primary polls are extremely inaccurate. After the two final candidates are known, the polling with go from mostly inaccurate to somewhat accurate.

I’m not really worried. There will be lots of ads reminding Maryland democrats that Hogan will vote for whatever ghoul will succeed McConnell, that he will vote for a national abortion ban, tax cuts for the rich, etc.
