Yep. She was completely normal and candid about all the things people criticize her for, to include the shape of her eyes. I love the self-deprecating humor. And I can also see how goofy she is, which is what I imagine she was doing at that deb ball that everyone was calling her out for. I think she was just flouncing around being silly and unfortunately it didn't translate in photos.

She reminded me a bit of Margaret Qualley - not her looks, of course. But her voice and mannerisms are kind of goofy/nerdy and reminiscent of MQ. Gwyneth Paltrow is a really good mimic, and I can tell she gets a lot of her personality from her mom.

I’m also surprised how much I enjoyed that video. She came across really well in it and appreciate how she talked about her flaws (acne, dark circles)

+1 I think that was adorable. She seems very normal 21-year old. I also love how she was about her acne. I have a son (also blonde blue-eyed) who struggled during Covid with acne especially- and from 15-20. He’s 20 now and about the same skin as hers. He also gets forehead acne- soccer player.

It was nice to hear even celeb’s kids—esp. one with a skincare line- still have similar issues. We also took our kid to a bunch of derm appointments and didn’t want to go the Accutane route. It all seems so normal and she seems very comfortable with all the online attacks about her appearance.

I have a daughter her age with the same acne scars. It was really refreshing to hear a celebrity’s kid say, “that’s just life.” No admonitions to go get laser therapy or whatever.

I also loved her impression of her grandma Blythe mispronouncing Tig Notaro’s name. That cracked me up.

Big question is, why did she go to Vanderbilt?? With uk college choices, that seems really stupid. Unless it was necessary to buy one’s way in.

I like that she owns her flaws and her assets. She talks about the lip filler BS (she had some when she was 18 but that’s it) and shows how she makes her lips look fuller with makeup. Go Apple!


You know that PP wouldn’t dare call out Halle Bailey who has the exact same eyes. PP probably thinks she’s stunning in comparison.

I was thoroughly entertained by this! She is self-deprecating and very funny. Notice how she talks about her eyes and being called Sid the Sloth on the internet? She is also completely candid and open about her acne scars. I found her utterly charming.

I think both mother and daughter are attractive—cute. They have the conventionally attractive WASP aesthetic.

Neither rises to the level of gorgeous.

They both look pretty basic.

I’m rewatching 30 Rock and there’s a scene early on in the first season where Lemon gives Jack a stern pep talk about acting. In short, she says, “Any dummy can act.” And she’s correct.
