This is what I can't figure out. They just like to be disrupters and get attention, and they will make up some fake, sensationalist, scary "cause" on the way.
Covid quarantines vary. To drive a truck into Canada, for example, all the trucker has to do is isolate for 14 days in a hotel room at the border.
Why can’t a trucker just wait 14 days and pay for 14 nights in a hotel?
There are other Covid restrictions which affect truckers - but apparently no one listened to the truckers at all (until now).

I was reading about them last night in Salon. If they sound their truck horn, it is actually a neo-Nazi salute.

“Let’s protest high gas prices by driving our rigs cross country!”
Anonymous wrote:The trucker convoy is losing steam.American truckers won’t be as successful as Canadian truckers because the American truckers lack one very important thing — a strong social safety net.

The movement to replicate the Canadian trucker convoy in America is off to a sputtering start"
Bob Bolus left PA with only one truck and he was driving it. After delaying for hours, waiting for more to show up, he left trailed by seven mini vans and pick up trucks. Rolling Stone has a reporter following them and interviewing them at stops.

"I'll give you an analogy of that of a giant boa constrictor," Bolus said to Fox5. "That basically squeezes you, chokes you and it swallows you, and that's what we're going to do D.C."
"We will be along the Beltway where the Beltway will be shut down," Bolus said, according to Fox News.
When asked about how the road blockage will affect local commuters, Bolus responded with less sympathy.
"As far as if they can't get to work, geez that's too bad," Fox5 reported.
That was supposed to happen today and as far as I can tell by online posts, no one showed up. DH is out of town and is driving home tonight so I’ve been following closely. It doesn’t look like any traffic was affected.
About an hour ago I got back from crossing town twice to go and pick up my kid from GW via the National Mall after he finished his classes and didn't see any signs whatsoever of a trucker convoy. Neither going there nor coming back. Nothing on Constitution, nothing on Independence, nothing around the Washington Monument. Nada. If it was supposed to be today it was a huge flop.
Its supposed to be March 5.
