I don’t understand the casting either..and their mannerisms were extremely annoying, like they’re trying to act young. The trainer played by Laverne Cox looked younger to me than the Rachel character but was insulted by her bc she was hanging out with a bunch of 20 somethings. So dumb
Suuper late to this but finally watched. Honestly, wasn't going to watch based on this thread but my SIL enjoyed it so I went ahead. Entertaining, not life changing. I love Julia.
re: Rachel, a few of the actors are from Shondaland shows. "Scandal" and "How to Get Away With Murder". Rachel actress was from the latter. Guess Shonda loves her.
No Rachel actress was Quinn on Scandal. And just as annoying on there.

Nef had a lot of exposure to all the wealthy adults/young adults in NYC getting things they didn’t deserve/didn’t pay for just because of their status. Why shouldn’t others (eg Anna) get that same access if they could get away with it?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I don't get why Nef still seems under Anna's spell.
She seems to like her as a person, and understands the NYC hustle. At the same time Nef knew her own personal limits on travel.
She is so incredibly unlikeable in Generation Hustle. Thought nothing about the fraud she committed by using her corporate card. She was very clearly happy to ride the coattails of Anna and benefit from her.Anonymous wrote:Literally cannot understand the take that Rachel is anything but a victim in this situation.
