Can't tell if trolling or not. You're saying that white people, in the name of anti-racism, should not require Black and brown people who work in restaurants to wear masks? How does this relate to schools?
I hear this person’s frustration. I thinks what they are saying is that it’s already difficult getting noticed in a classroom, especially in places like Deal, Wilson, Banneker, Murch, etc.
This just adds an additional layer to the disconnect between rich white elites and anyone else who isn’t, especially when it comes to matters of race in the classroom. I do believe it’s an upper class problem, but the fact that the majority of the city isn’t who is in charge of the city makes it even more frustrating.
The law may not be intended to be racist, but it definitely smells of it.
I'm still lost. You are saying masking is racist, because it disproportionately hurts Black students getting noticed in the classroom? And masking in essence lets white people not have to see Black faces, and therefore makes white people happier?
You are “lost” because you are probably a privileged, upper middle class, white person for whom the pandemic has been a “nice break” when you spent “so much time connecting with your kids” or whatever. Stay in your bubble. It’s nice there.
