They cannot except if they offer equal classes and some of us have lobbied for it and our principal is clear it’s a no. It’s all for show. Moving kids around will not help.

I don't have kids in school and planning to downsize. Losing 100-200K is huge for me. I suspect that will happen with 30% FARMS.
40-50% FARMS will actually result in a bigger drop and I won't have any equity left for retirement.

It's a good sign that Julie Yang's comments show she's looking for reasonable bus rides that don't stretch the system's capacity:

"What is a reasonable amount of time students spend on a bus? Those are the logistical questions we should ask ourselves. What's the capacity of our fleet to travel distance? These boundary studies are the perfect time to evaluate all of these criteria."

All options are on the table.

Whitman going near 20% FARMS will help lots of Whitman kids. School culture will become more tolerant.

Options can be modified but goal should be increase economic diversity in Whitman and also not make WJ another Whitman.

The only good part of Option 3, is it rezones all of Kensington to Einstein, which reduces bussing. I would like them to take that one aspect and apply it to Options 1, 2, and 4 and see what they can come up with.

I like that aspect as well.
