it's odd that someone would know so much detail about a program they are not in. I couldn't tell you this level of detail about my own kids' teams.
there are lot of people other there with hard ons for VLC I guess.


I generally know about where the other years in my 2 son's programs are ranked. I also generally about where other programs are ranked at my sons' ages. I'd have to go over to the website to get the exact ranking but I generally know where those teams are ranked. So I don't think it is that odd.

There is a large cadre of VLC haters. The merger was a disaster for players and the reputation of VLC. I give it another year before you can mention VLC without somebody spitting. Interestingly, I think VLC has a good chance to return to its former glory. My read is that ML won’t be around in 5 years, True (for reasons that I can’t fathom) isn’t catching on and the locals (TC, team Virginia, etc) are fizzling. So I could see VLC being what it once was - the quality nova team.

My bet is that VLC will stabilize once the CAVs affected teams work through the system (27,28 &29). I just hope VLC didn’t pay too much for that lemon.

If you looking at the 2029-2033 VLC, you might want to look at Team Virginia and/or True.


True' 2029 team is good, the others are very mid too. Team Virginia and Top Caliber are just unstable as VLC, many teams are worse.

If you looking at the 2029-2033 VLC, you might want to look at Team Virginia and/or True.

So from what I know is that I think this VLC attempting to form a B team. The "coach" is a Dad whose kid was on Trues B team and didn't play much. Or didn't like the results. Without outing too much, the Dad coached a 14U NVYLL team and thinks he can do better. He approached a bunch of True kids on the back end of the True 29 A team to see if they wanted to move over. As far as I know no one took him up on the offer..

Though maybe the guy was named the VLC 29 A coach and it is imploding. That wouldn't be a good look at all. Three straight years of no 8th grade teams at VLC.

Sounds like the winners from Dulles South and Chantilly. They are the worst and think they belong in Elite.


This is also why so many kids/parents are driving around the beltway for a good travel team.
