But it is not just a concern voiced by partisans on the left, late-night comics or mental health professionals making long-distance diagnoses. It can be heard now among retired generals, diplomats and foreign officials. And most strikingly, it can be heard now on the political right among onetime allies of the president.

For some bizarre reason that no one can explain, the normal rules don’t apply to him. His reign will be the subject of study and analysis for many years to come.

He is known to have broken numerous laws and sexually assaulted people. His corruption is magnitudes greater than anything we have seen before. He is trying to destroy our system of governance, weakening our economy and our alliances. He is the most destructive thing this country has seen in a long time. And he's batshit! Absolute batshit and always has been.

I will never understand anyone who voted for him even once. He was always nasty, always corrupt, always a huge liar, always an obviously ignorant dope. He excels only in grift and manipulation. To me he is an ugly person, inside and out, with absolutely no charisma. I will never never understand how he has any appeal.

My favorite thing about Trump is that different people pick different things that he's done as *the* thing that crossed the line. Some say it's knocking down the East Wing. Some say it's pardoning a guy who helped him and his family make billions in crypto. Some say it's accepting a jet from Qatar. Some say it's the war in Iran. Some say it's posting a picture of himself as Jesus. And really there are no wrong answers here - he's crossed lines the likes of which no one has seen before.

The Jesus thing is nowhere close to the worst thing he has done. It’s quite possibly the most bizarre and unhinged though.
