Does it matter at this point. All the clubs literally just held their tryouts over the last 3 or so weeks. If the kid is really, really good and fills a weak spot then it is probably worth an email to a director. But, in reality, if any club takes you at this point, you should go with that club.

But more to the point if you’re not on a club at this point it probably doesn’t make sense to join one now barring an unusual circumstance (eg just moved form a state where you were on a elite team or truly exceptional Athletic ability). The point of club is college recruiting very few kids who start playing club ball in ninth grade that make it to college team worth joining
