There's a history that goes back many years. It started with George Huguely. Through the years, the MD administration has touted Prep off of boys that they didn't recommend. This is done informally based on personal relationships between the MD staff and the Catholic high schools.

People who are in the know are aware of this history and the specific examples. So local people see a good athlete, or anyone go from MD to Landon or Bullis, they assume it's because of academic and/or character issues.

Is this always the case? Who knows? But it's happened numerous times. People don't send their kids to a very Catholic school and social environment like MD and then suddenly decide that Catholic education isn't for them.

Yes, but based on decades of history and examples, when a MD boy goes somewhere else rather than GP, Gonzaga or SJC, there's generally a backstory there. It is extremely rare behavior.

It’s not that complex. His cousin, now a 1st team AA at Princeton, went to Bullis prior and had a good experience.

But that doesn't mean it isn't extremely rare and that there isn't s a history associated with it. So based on that people will always be suspicious.

People think we faked the moon landing, or that 9/11 was an inside job. Their suspicions are irrelevant. Sounds like the kid had a very non-conspiratorial reason to go one place over another.

This is correct, imo. Except I would put STA as #51. He was very good, then goalie.

I like 51 too except the senior attack had very little help while defense was the strength of the team.

Good point. STA had very little offense beyond senior attack. All these kids are very good.

Imo, #28 Bullis did the most for his team and was the toughest match up in the IAC. He basically beat us in the 4th Q with a couple of goals against our very good LSM's and some key GB's. - Neutral (Landon Dad)
