They clearly left it so Che can float on the margins of the friends group. Maybe just the occasional one-on-one scene with Carrie, like in this ep.
Yeah, I didn’t mind them in that scene for a change.
+1 It was the only scene with Che I didn't want to fast forward through.
I don’t know. It’s like if we white women need to have Che in the audience reaffirming our inner thoughts about life and moving on, rather than vice versa, then maybe making the cast more diverse isn’t that much of an improvement?

Not surprising since she is absurdly indulgent. Lilly seems to have not one redeeming quality.
Yeah that whole story line was insane.
I kind of liked Steve standing up to Miranda rather than being a sad pathetic sap.
Yes, that was the honest thing that happened this season. The fact that she had no regard for his sweat equity, ugh.
And if you remember when they were toured it it WAS a dump. He fixed it up beautifully.
Also Miranda is REALLY dumb for co-owning a house with Steve and being the only person responsible for the mortgage. It would be a good point if she was the only one on the deed, but to point out that she’s the only one on the mortgage is saying “I’m f***ed here.”
Yes, so presumably they’re both on the deed and each have equal right to the house. But if she’s the only one in the mortgage she’s the only one who has the responsibility of paying for it. Really dumb of her to put herself in that position in the first place, and even more dumb to try to make the point to him that that’s why the house is hers.
I'm sure her name is the only one on the mortgage because adding Steve to the mortgage would have offered no benefits and potential been a liability because he'd already started the bar with Aiden at that point and might have had major debts associated with that (plus it might not have been profitable yet). To say it was "dumb" for her to put herself in that position makes it sound like there was any way for her to buy the house in Brooklyn with Steve as a full contributor on the mortgage, which is unlikely. This is how it works when you marry someone who makes waaaaaaay less money than you do.

He probably put a couple of hundred grand worth of work into that place, so what.
He may have done work, but she was probably paying for it. She sold her UWS apartment and was a partner in a law firm. He co-owned a bar.
