Anonymous wrote:For the Westfield parents who are unhappy - has anyone tried contacting the whole school board and Dr. Reid and pointing out that the process seems contaminated by school boundary gerrymandering?

When are we getting the final boundary?
Pretty much just two posters saying the same things over and over for dozens of pages now trying to get the last word in. Nothing useful posted for days.
Yep.
Westfield is going to be fine. The hyperventilating is over the top.
Which school do your kids attend?
Its pretty obvious that its the one Centreville parent who wants a 3000 seat sparkly new school for 1900 kids and believes moving out just the apartment kids is the perfect plan.
This is the type of post that makes people less sympathetic to Westfield.
Organize like other communities have and make your case based on facts.
Stop acting like no one else can have an opinion or pretending there’s only one poster besides you on the thread. Sheesh.

Most people seem to disagree with that.
Has anyone received a reply from Seema or Kyle that wasn't a form email?
It’s funny that McDaniel has become the go-to at large member for most everything including the Skyview boundaries since moon and mcelveen are completely absent.
Of the three, McDaniel is the only one who lives in the study area.
Of the three, McDaniel is the only one who suggested at the outset that one reason to buy KAA was to shorten the commutes of Oakton kids, and now has to explain why Oakton is untouched while other schools are seeing major boundary changes.
Of the three, McDaniel is the only one aligned with the ruling bloc on the School Board, so what he has to say matters more than what two members who have been marginalized because they occasionally disagree with Reid wants.
Of the three, McDaniel is the only one who has to be given things to do to restore his reputation, since the other two weren’t accused of embezzlement by their business partners.
So, no, it’s no big surprise he’s more vocal here, especially when much of what he’s doing is providing cover to Seema Dixit.
Obsessed much? Geez.
DP. This is the perfect example of what happens when people question the ruling bloc. It’s not obsessing to expect elected officials to do their jobs.
They are supposed to look out for all students in the county--not just the ones whose parents are organized and vocal.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Moon and/or McElveen don’t support the boundary changes affecting Westfield, but it won’t matter since they regularly get out voted.
