Oakton had a shot 7th game of season lost by 3 now missing top player.
Madison had shot 10th game of season lost by 5. Just squeezed by Oakton can they?
Langley had shot 4th game of season lost by 6. History against them but I don’t think 3 horses can get them there.
Battlefield had shot 2nd game of season lost by 5. Healthy and team is rolling through lesser competition until maybe state quarterfinal. Will they be ready if they meet in semis or finals.
I rank the local contenders: 1.) Madison, 2.) BF, 3.) Oakton, 4.) Langley. I rank Langley fourth because they just lost for a second time to YT last week 16-8. Madison has speed, draw control ability, and the senior experience to challenge. BF is talented but very inexperienced and I don't think BF is ready this year. Oakton is clearly capable at full strength, but I'm not sure if they have enough firepower without everyone healthy. I think YT is the big favorite to win it this year. They have played all the contenders without faltering. Every other contender has stumbled multiple times.
Yorktown and Madison are both the favorites because of senior leadership. Yorktown has already played and beaten anyone who would be standing in their way. Madison has had some losses this season that they won’t let happen again.
Thanks Madison mom. Good luck!

Let's talk about how your team did against YT.

Western is not in 6A. So, I don't think they can come within 5 goals of YT in the playoffs. I also don't believe that any of the other 6A contenders are as strong was Western. Of course, any of the top contenders could knock of YT on any given day. However, the poster's prediction is reasonable in light of YT's resume.
It’s interesting that a 4A team could theoretically knock out YT (if they actually played against each other in the States) when WA is technically pulling from a smaller pool of players (6A vs 4A). YT is certainly dominant this year but I’m looking for the upset. Madison could be that team.

Cosby lost by 1 to Western. Watch out for them. Senior loaded.
