They do. Really just comes down to message packaging.

Each year there is room for about two really strong teams in the DMV and a third that is just ok. Blackwolf used to be in the discussion but they faded after 2020. In 2018-2019 it was Madlax and VLC. In 2021-2022 It was Madlax and DCE with NL a close third. In 2023 it was ML and VLC with NL a bit behind. In 2024 it is ML and NL. In 2025 ML and DCE and 2026 looks like DCE and VLC. I think VLC takes a dip for a few years and may catch up soon. The 2032 team may have a dad coach but he is clearly the coach with the most coaching accolades in the DMV.
Bordley's coaching youth lax?

Did he ever coach in the PLL? was he a HOF player at a top five all time program?
Ahh. Thought you said coaching accolades.

coached in the PLL is that an accolade?

whatever you say about VLC, it does inspire passion, both for and against, as proven by this silly debate!

I don’t think you can say VLC is a good club thier national rankings are as follows:

25: 150
26: 16
27: 107
28: no team
29: 147
30: 185
31: ranking not available.

Rankings aren’t everything but one team in the top 100 is pretty clear evidence that they are struggling. Let’s get real here. And for the inevitable guy who says that “rankings don’t matter,” what is your metric? If it’s college recruiting let me just say that is a pretty terrible metric as you don’t know if you made a good choice until it’s too late to do anything.

Look it up on the Tourney App. But, yes they lost to Leading Edge. VLC is ranked 150 and Leading Edge is ranked 8. So it should not be a huge surprise.

Will the 2026 team be the last good VLC team?

No, 2027 is good, and they will be starting a 2028 this summer. there is enough discontent on the other 2028 teams in town (there is an entire thread on that topic) that they could get that team good too. and one of the younger teams (2031?) won Crabfeast as well. the program will always have its detractors but they have more going than just the 2026 team.

Never seen the 27 VLC team play, but they currently sit with a 7-7 record on USCLUBLAX. Maybe better then average? But good? Not until they put up more wins then losses.

Not a chance they will be able to field a 28 team. Of all the discontent, VLC takes the cake for f’ing up the 28s royally, combined with a bunch of dysfunctional 28 parents in virginia.

To be clear, the 31s didn’t “win Crabfeast”. They won the B bracket championship but there was an entire A bracket of teams that they didn’t play because the competition was too high for them.

PP here, my bad. I saw the Champions photo on one of the Mom’s facebook pages!

The 31 team got destroyed in Hoco this year, didn’t win a game. The club is still a mess and at the younger ages it’s all daddy ball.
