Their body language has been off almost since the beginning, and their holding hands during this interview was SO awkward. My guess: it quickly became clear neither was willing to compromise in the end. And that they had both not been truthful with each other, some bait and switch on both sides. Pretty clear he is a my way of the highway kind of person and a narcissist who love bombs but with no real substance behind his feelings. It must have been pretty bad if they wouldn't hang in there a while longer, at least for the free Italy trip. She must have realized, so glad she didn't quit her job and move for him!!
I think in the middle and the end, he’s an ass.

She’s not paid to be a phony actor like him (naturally this way). I would have a look of disgust myself. Did they sign contracts saying if they divorce they have to show up and announce it on air in public? I’m guessing so. Otherwise why would she show up for this charade?

Seems like he left because she wouldn't quit her job and compromise on the living arrangements. I understand why he might have felt misled. But I also understand why she was hesitant to give up too much for him. Probably didn't fully trust him, for good reasons.
