Um.
She did win. She won the competition. They had a prenuptial agreement, so her assets are safe and she got to enjoy the ride.
Are any of the bachelor couples still together other than Trista and Ryan?

If it was only that, they could have sustained a marriage of convenience for a good while and enjoyed a fun trip to Italy.
She was always grabbing and kissing him. He never seemed to initiate. I think it was too one-sided. I also think he was angry she wouldn't quit her job to give them more freedom to travel and so on (from Shandy podcast). My guess is she had her reasons, mainly not trusting in the relationship. But he did travel to NJ a few times, and she only want to Indiana once and seemed to be put off by the cultural differences. I don't think it's entirely on him.

Btw he’s a more convincing actor than she is. BS that they love each other and are best friends. She does not like him as a person.
Their body language has been off almost since the beginning, and their holding hands during this interview was SO awkward. My guess: it quickly became clear neither was willing to compromise in the end. And that they had both not been truthful with each other, some bait and switch on both sides. Pretty clear he is a my way of the highway kind of person and a narcissist who love bombs but with no real substance behind his feelings. It must have been pretty bad if they wouldn't hang in there a while longer, at least for the free Italy trip. She must have realized, so glad she didn't quit her job and move for him!!
If they had in fact been in love, they would have figured out a way to compromise. They weren't in love, period. And he never was, not even for a second. That's what I think she realized, poor thing.
I think she got caught up in wanting to win because it meant winning. She wasn't really thinking about what that truly meant long-term. Odd for someone who does financial planning, but maybe it was all so exciting she couldn't help it.
She seemed so giddy and excited after the fantasy suites night and during ATFR. I feel bad for her, she really did think this could be a big romance. Then she got to know him for real.

The only option was for both of them to move to Florida or some new state where they would BOTH have to learn the lay of the land and make a new life together. At 70-ish, it's pretty much the very end of the age where anyone would want to do that. It takes time to make new friends, and get comfortable building a new life.
Maybe neither one is willing to give up their current life.
