When "journalism" becomes advocacy. Post eagerly serving as mouthpiece for coordinated effort to influence ownership fight going on with Spirit. It not surprising that a league created and built mostly by the investment of men is now the target of women hoping to gain control of the league. More power to them, I guess. The league can't exist on its own, so maybe they should put their money where their mouth is with these franchises and see if it can fly on its own. Guessing it won't be such a smooth flight as people seem to think.

Point? Guess he was guilty of the illegal visa schemes
That article said he was neither charged nor implicated in the visa scheme case. The Athletic has a story on this, but I don’t have a subscription.
I wrote something on the visa schemes a while back. It's long, but you can skim and get the gist of it. I have one paragraph on Holly.

The case has a long, long way to go.
The Equalizer also has a piece on Holly's departure that mentions another controversy -- he started dating a player at Sky Blue (now Gotham FC). And not just any player. It was Christie Rampone.

People are interested in clicks and reporters judged by how much ad revenue their articles bring in. Try to leak the truth to a reporter like Goff or others that doesn’t fit the negative narrative and they won’t run with it. The truth is more balanced than people think - it’s not all “bad Baldwin” and the players don’t dislike him or Richie. There is a large contingent of players that think Kang is inappropriate and harasses them. They just want to play and win.
Try to run an article about female players annoyed with a female owner/investor and it will get buried
My DMs are open. Try me.

How do they keep Michele in the dark? She could buy the entire NWSL. These guys are absolute morons. The optics are terrible.
Investors that bought stakes in the club do not have have it in their agreement that they have to be informed or approve. Follow Kang around and tell me she is acting in the best interests of the club - or tell me if a man would be allowed to do what she does
How can you say that when the "lead" investor is old time friends of Olson, do you really think that he did not "recommend" and make sure he got to be President of the club? Please........these investors are trying to stop the s--- storm that is coming.

Sounds like Baldwin took a chapter from the Danny Snyder “how to” book of sport franchise ownership.
