Boring* was the wrong and cruel word. Ken is the SAFE pick. He's got a solid personality. He's perfect for the gig.
THIS.

I have to say - LeVar Burton was one of the most annoying. I was expecting much better due to all the hype around his hosting, but his voice is incredibly annoying and distracting.
He was terrible. I hate to say it, because I love just about everything else he’s done.
He needed a second day like all the originally scheduled guest hosts to ease into it.
Didn't he get a week, like the rest of the guest hosts?
One week of shows is apparently taped in one day. The other guest hosts got two weeks/two days.

I was just asking my DH last night as we rewatched the ToC why it didn’t seem as though he was really in the running? He did a great job.

So apparently Richards was a huge jerk backstage. Glad to see he's gone.

If all along this Richards guy wanted the host job, he should've been forthcoming about it by letting go of the executive producer role from the beginning-- he didn't, and now he's lost it all.
Furthermore, we're confronted here with a perfect example of how a lot of people in this country, particularly non-white people never get a fair shake and are, unbeknownst to them, doomed from the very beginning. One has to wonder if Richards went through any kind of vetting , probably not. To me, it's obvious the powers that be were irritated by the thought of a non-white man replacing Trebek and conspired with Richards to orchestrate the farce of a replacement search. Until proven wrong, i just don't believe smug and smarmy Richards could've gone at this without the explicit backing of the decision makers .
Please don’t make this about race.

Social media astroturfing != real life. Nobody gives a damn about levar burton. And this blossom gal is also terrible. It was obvious all along Ken Jennings was the rightful heir apparent.
