That would seem to argue against his being a sociopath, wouldn’t it? If he’s haunted by the specter of this child and looks for her in a mate? Sociopaths don’t carry any emotional baggage. You can’t have it both ways.

Uh, no. Sean Connery was commanding. Dame Helen Mirren is commanding. Nicole is a stretched out face that registers no emotion. I gave up after episode 3. It was just one six part Law & Order. Waste of time.

When I was talking about a commanding presence, wasn't talking about Nicole Kidman, who my husband now refers to as Joker Face. I was talking about the actress who played Haley (Noma Dumezwen).

Yeah. Haley was to sharp a cookie and phenomenal defense attorney to ever have agreed to let Grace take the stand.

I was expecting and hoping for a Law & Order: Criminal Intent tale of twists to a slightly unbelievable whodunit. instead we got a predictable standard Law & Order.

I'm not going to make judgements on if it is Nicole K's plastic surgery or her acting ability, but her lack of appropriate physical reaction had me thinking her character was faking (like being terrified at the beach house) and her taking was a plot point. With the ending it really does seem like it was an issue with the actress and hurt the story.

I just assume that every actor is British in most premium cable dramas. It's a pretty safe assumption.
