Classroom size. Most can only have 5-6 students + teacher and maintain 6' social distancing. So to get everyone who doesn't choose to opt-out of in-person some time in the classroom, kids would have to be split into 4 groups.
To me the question is whether under-enrolled schools will be allowed to have more in-person learning than a space-challenged school like Deal or Wilson.

Why would full time DL be only 4 days/week?
They are probably taking away daily planning time for teachers to allow more instructional time, then giving teachers one day a week for planning.
It is literally explained in the excerpt above. Teacher planning AND to make time for additional support to students with disabilities, ELLs, etc.

The article literally says COVID is more deadly than the flu... except for kids. Where there are very few cases. It points out the rate inflammatory syndrome... of which there have been 100 cases (it says). That is obviously still far fewer than kids who get seriously ill from the flu. Then, on top of that, the article points out the inflammatory reaction can be to other viruses too, so some of those 100 cases may not even be COVID reared.
I am curious exactly what you thought this article proved. Did you read it?

You forget that even if many kids don't get a severe case, some do. Also, don't forget all the adults in the building. They may be vulnerable or have vulnerable family members at home. You want a lot of subs teaching your kids? I'd rather have mine taught by a real teacher, even if it's distance.
