Geddy Lee has been married to the same woman since 1976.
Their son is a PhD.
I always like hearing about musicians who stay married. Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones) has been married to the same woman for over 50 years. I think that's incredible.
PP and I am borderline obsessed with LT rocker marriages.
John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin married in 1967
Jack Blades of Night Ranger and Damn Yankees: married in 1977
Maybe my fave couple: Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo: 1982

The paint used on the Tin Man contained aluminum powder landing Buddy Edson in the Hospital and replaced, the Cowardly Lion’s costume was made from a real Lion’s Hide, the witch was severely burned from a failed pyrotechnic trick; Toto’s foot was broken when stepped on and can be seen limping.
Weren’t there also suicides on the set?
No, that is a myth.

This came from a Facebook post that went viral after he died. It has never been confirmed or proven. You should not believe every Facebook post you see.
That’s not where it was found. Actually, it appears to have originated with an article posted by Brian Lord (“A Little Known Robin Williams Story”) on 12 August 2014, recounting the author’s experience in attempting to hire Williams for an event. Snopes claims this is unproven, which doesn’t mean it isn’t true. It went viral through Facebook. Is a fact? I’d like to believe so. You’re right, it can’t be called a fact.
Logistically and legally (let alone unions) it just doesn't make sense to be true. The idea that you can just walk over to a homeless camp and hire people to work on your film set /event no matter where you are in the world sounds like someone who has never really done business. And where are all these homeless people who were hired - Robin Williams did hundreds if not thousands of events / films - that is a lot of homeless people who would be telling stories about the time they got hired
It’s not difficult to be an extra in a movie. I was an extra in Pelican Brief w/Julia Roberts. They just have you sign some paperwork and give you a check. I made a whole $25.00. And I happened to be working for a bank at that time, we had accounts of a lot of homeless people in DC, so homeless people do have bank accounts. In fact one at the time had $30k in his account.

George Clooney was the nephew of Rosemary Clooney (famous singer.) I remember seeing him on episodes of Facts of Life, The Golden Girls and Roseann. He was always hunky!

That is incredible considering their lifestyles. My fave is U2’s Bono and his wife Ali. They were high school sweethearts in Dublin (1982).
And Jon Bon Jovi! High school sweethearts.
Most, if not all of these, have kept their family life private. Coincidence?
PP quoted. Great point. Something to be said about keeping your professional life just that.
Alright...since I’m here I’ll share another fact.
Margaret Hamilton, known forever as the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz was a former schoolteacher. She got into acting when she was (unusual for the time) a newly divorced mother with a very young son. She was perhaps self-conscious of her “scary” image and appeared on Mr. Rogers to explain how she was NOT wicked and was playing “ make believe.” As an older woman, she was cast in a long running Maxwell House commercials.

She was class president for several years and head of the honor council. And had great roles in plays, of course. Miss Everything, even then.
