Sad that they ousted Lisa. She was the best thing that had happened to that club in a long time. Interesting how they have gone from 12 women coaches and staff to now 4 or 5. Good ol' boys are running the show. Not sure how a soccer coach with no busienss experience can run a club vs. someone with a Master's Degree from Georgetown in Sports Management. Not a good look for them. Word from disgruntled coaches say that PPP was received but they aren't using it to restore salaries or return fuloughed employees. No reserves means no refunds and the hurry up to collect fall fees.

So far they are the only club I’ve heard is doing that.

fake news......What statement? Their last email to the club was April 15th- no mention of furloughing. Thats when they reduced office hours and staffing.

I’m pretty sure it’s easy to read between those lines. Reducing hours and staff. I think that’s the PC way of saying it. Do you know for sure that they haven’t?

reducing hours and staffing doesnt equal furlough. reducing hours and staff is what 80% of the workforce is doing right now. cmon.

And that email was from the head of the board of directors. We still haven't heard from the Executive Director, Lisa Frates.
Not once.

They dissolved the Executive Director position due to financial concerns. She isn't there anymore.

Well if that is the case, which I find hard to believe, what a damn shame. Soccer needs more people like Lisa in the industry. I don't know Lisa Frates personally but I have watched her become a leader in the soccer industry in the short time she has been the ED for Bethesda. I attended the Kwik Goal Summit this winter, there were amazing leaders attending and presenting, to include Lisa. Out of all the people there, she was selected to introduce Jill Ellis, the guest speaker. Since that time she has been a sought after leader during these unprecedented times. Check them out. Let's say they dissolved the ED position due to financial concerns, okay, I get it but if in fact she isn't there anymore and they didn't restructure her in some way.... SMH!!!

They should have done this before they sent invites.

Well, one step in the right direction.
We’ll see what they have to say next.

Finally. Wonder if they read this thread? Or maybe low number of return players?

yes we were bumped off a ecnl 2 team to let kevin keep his promise to his past girls, sight unseen

Check out other clubs in the area. They may be better suited for your daughter.
