And both his gambling and his marriage seem totally fine and amazing and wonderful from this email from 2001. Page 7. https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/09-06-18%20GWB%20Document%20Production%20%20-%20Booker%203.pdf

Keep up, son.
That was all covered in the closed Senate hearings.

So what was the answer?

There is a reason it is a closed hearing.
The Senators have all the answers. Interesting that they aren't concerned about the finances.

I mean, we’ve since realized that every single GOP Senator is a dirty traitor. No, a little thing like hinky finances doesn’t bother them.

But lots of people feel that the questions about his sketchy finances still haven’t been answered. https://mobile.twitter.com/nycsouthpaw/status/1173217788275625984

The fact that you think his seat was “bought” is some real tin foil stuff.

As for his temperament. How about we go out and gin up an bunch of sexual assault allegations based on nothing, and then out you on TV and see how calmly you react. You do realize RBG condemned that whole charade, right?

What’s pathetic is the journalistic standards of liberal rags. That’s the problem here.

What’s amazing is the complete lack of moral compass of liberals in this country. It’s that stupidity that is going to result in an orange man re-election. Between the liberal rags drumming up complete lies and dopes like Beto calling for gun confiscation and screaming bloody murder when immigration laws are actually applied, that’s what you are going to get

What does Trump have to do with spurious allegations, egged on by Democrats?

The investigation was working within very narrow rules.

Still, now we have 2 men on the bench who abused women and lied about it during their confirmation.

Rather, we have 2 men who were smeared by the Democrats with no proof or corroborating evidence and successfully defended their reputations, honor, and integrity.

As a Republican, I will never forget what you have done to these two men.

That’s okay. We think of their victims and the pain they went through due to Thomas’s and Kavanaugh’s actions and at the hands of the GOP.

I’m just positive you mean their “alleged” victims. Right?

It’s really not. I’d make a parallel to a time in history, but they get so easily hurt by the words, which they have long understood to mean “bad people” and are upset at the idea they themselves might be bad people, and I’m sick of explaining what a “metaphor” is.

So much of this stuff in the Trumpian Travesty Timeline is just so objectively and obviously bad that watching them try to defend it is like watching them run full speed into a closed glass door. Repeatedly.

Yes, it’s clear by now that nothing concerns Republican Senators as long as you love corporations and hate abortion.

OK, genius. Tell us about the Democratic Senators who have expressed grave concerns about Kavanaugh's finances after the closed hearing.

First tell us why the debt forgiveness wasn’t in his financial disclosure.

I have no clue.
And, I am certain that was addressed in the closed door briefing.
IOW - it is not our business.

Actually, it is. He was nominated by the President to the Supreme Court. In the old days (ie before 2017) all of this would be public.

No, genius. There have always been closed door hearings to discuss issues that are not public.
Sorry your nosy little self can't have all the information you want. Things don't work that way.

Source?

Here. I know how to work Google.

This is the timeline of Justice Kagan's confirmation. And, yes, it includes a closed-door hearing.

And, here is an article referencing Sotomayor's closed door hearings:

Oh honey, no. I meant how are you certain his debt issue was addressed?

I am certain that was addressed in the closed door briefing.

Last we were told, ol’ Bretty had six figures of baseball ticket debt, nevermind the house the couldn’t afford on their salaries and with no parental money disclosed.... who bought and paid for Bretty?
