Urban areas voted mostly for HRC, even in red areas. Maybe you are confusing suburban and urban.
I don't feel betrayed at all by Dems since I'm a former R. If anything, I feel betrayed by the Rs and their "family values", "moral majority" , "fiscal responsibility" platforms that they spout.
And the R party is now the party of Trump, which is really a nationalist party. If anything, Rs should be feeling betrayed, and many do, hence the #nevertrumpers.
