I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out because we have been approached by several clubs in the area to start a new premier level event in the DC Metro area in November, The Capital Cup. Our boys and girls weekends will being going head to head against another high level tournament the same weekend.
We believe that our event, although new in 2019, will be more conducive to clubs and soccer families then our competition. For example:
The Capital Cup, as like most of our events managed by Elite Tournaments, be covered by full tournament cancellation insurance. This means that if even 1 game is cancelled because of weather, your teams will receive part of your application fee back. If the event is cancelled in full you will get close to, if not all, a full refund.
If your team is from outside of the DC Metro area and needs to stay in a hotel, the Capital Cup carries hotel cancellation insurance through the hotel booking agency that will cover your stay even if you already checked into the hotel. All cancelations and contacting of the hotels will be done by the tournament, you and your parents don’t have to worry about thing with hotels with tournament cancelations.
Also, we are ensuring that every single game will be played on turf fields. This means the only way a game should be cancelled is if we have lightning or the fields are covered in snow.
Elite Tournaments will have direct communication with all teams. We are a company with full time staff that specializes in event management and therefore and we do not rely on parent volunteers. Teams that play in the 2019 Capital Cup will not need to supply field marshals, this is a job that we, at Elite Tournaments, cover.
Our entry fees are competitive to other tournaments in the DC Metro area, and we work hard to deconflict as many coaching conflicts as possible.
Elite Tournaments wants to give teams peace of mind when traveling and playing in our events by giving them the best experience possible. We want you to only worry about is coaching your team.
Below you will find the links to the Capital Cup’s website and additional information. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. If you are interested, let me know and if we can add your club to the already growing list that have already committed.
