Loudon will need a year or two (maybe 3) in order to build teams with their players that they have developed. They are paying the price for the FCV "partnership." VDA at the younger age groups is a good example of what holding onto your players can look like. This is a rarity in the recruiting circus of NOVA youth soccer. McLean will stay in the top 3 but Loudon and VDA will move up in the coming years as they retain their players. VDA's base (PWSI/VSA who are severely underrepresented on this forum) will not be heading to FCV or anywhere else.

Better programs at the recruiting age groups? VDA has no history of putting players in college? Have already been losing top players to those clubs in older age groups

The player drives 90% of the work during the recruiting process. Soccer recruiting is not like HS Football. While the club and coach can play a role in the process recruiting success is far more dependent upon the work the player puts in with regards to reaching out to coaches, sending film, attending ID camps etc.

Try again. Their record is 21-4-4 against some of the top programs on the East Coast in tournaments. In league play they are undefeated. The team is ranked #1 in VA and #10 in Region 1. So - right there is another good Loudoun team.

I'm an ECNL Loudoun parent and I'm 100% okay with their records at this point. It's their first year beyond CCL for girls. Last year they lost all of their top players to DAs. I don't think that they have anything to worry about going forward.

Now FCV DA...that's a different story.
