State Department official Andrea Thompson, who is in charge of negotiations with Moscow, didn’t disclose ties to the boyfriend of Russian agent Maria Butina. Paul Erickson, boyfriend of confessed Russian agent María Butina, officiated the wedding of Undersecretary of State Andrea Thompson and took $100,000 from her husband.

Who owns the company?

Good question. No info on that in the Times or in the Real Deal.

An Indonesian billionaire politician, because of course.

“Greg Pence, a freshman congressman and brother of Vice President Mike Pence, reported spending more than $7,600 in campaign funds on lodging at the Trump International Hotel in the first few months after his election in November, although lawmakers are supposed to pay for their own housing in Washington.

After USA TODAY asked about the expenses included on his Federal Election Commission disclosure reports, Pence’s spokesman, Kyle Robertson, declined to say whether the Indiana Republican stayed at the hotel before getting an apartment in Washington.

Hours after USA TODAY pressed for more detail on the nature of the lodging expenses, the campaign filed an amended FEC report that changed the designation of the expenses to "fundraising event costs."

“Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) presided over a slipshod office operation with financial oversight so weak that his former chief of staff managed to take home improper, extra pay that violated House ethics rules for years, a newly released investigation found.

Oliver Schwab may have collected $60,000 in outside pay over three years above what House rules permitted, and attended the 2015 Super Bowl in Glendale — with Schweikert, R-Ariz. — as part of a taxpayer-paid trip that was reported as official business, the report said.

There were other possible sources of income Schwab had that investigators could not examine during the probe that has dogged the five-term Republican congressman and his operations for more than a year.“

The White House blocked an intelligence official from submitting written testimony to the House Intelligence Committee this week warning climate change could be 'potentially catastrophic," on the grounds it didn't jibe with Trump's stance.

How are those two not under indictment for whatever the legal name for corruption is?

Because "corruption" under th current law requires an explicit quid pro quo with personal immediate financial gain. It doesn't handle subtlety, indirect benefit, or the long con very well.

Yup, that was the end result of the Bob for Jobs SCOTUS case.
