From what I have heard most of them pay for tournaments at least 6 or 9 months out and the tournaments weren't giving clubs cash refunds, just credits for next year. I suspect that most of the area clubs would have gone under if they had written actual refund checks to parents instead of giving them credits. I would rather not have my $ from this coming year used to give refunds to people from last year. I don't know why these club directors keep putting money in CR's pocket - he runs a club, runs the league and gives his own teams preferential placement in tournaments he runs. Total conflict of interest all around. Too bad all the clubs don't get together and just decide as a group to stop attending.

So who is the stable decent club in the area for Middle school girls Lacrosse?
It is so grade by grade.
But I wouldn’t read too much into the fall NGLL play day. A lot of families are being Covid cautious and on the flip side, it is Labor Day weekend.
A quick look at the schedule shows that there are only about 8-10 clubs doing the NGLL weekend. Our club, Skywalkwers is not, and a number of of the other regular Maryland clubs took a pass as well. So I wouldn't resad anything into it.

Pride owner works full time on Pride bc that’s basically all she does, other than coach a HS team, and she very much runs it as a business. Most other club owners have other jobs and just run a club on the side. Maybe Pride model is better; only time will tell. But even over time most clubs rise and fall.
