Community could also mean geographical rather than racial. OP said their home school is Floris ES, which is certainly a "TJ mania" part of FCPS.

I do not think racial profiling is an issue here. Whoever suggested in this thread is a work of a troll!!
Additional point:
GBRs from private school seems to carry less or no weight.
Why is suggesting racial profiling trolling? The OP said the the FCPS person mentioned many "communities" prepping. While that could mean people in a certain geographic region, it could also mean ethnic/cultural background. Just because you don't agree with someone's opinion doesn't make that person a troll. It is especially interesting that the GBRS and the WISC seemed to have no impact, despite being high.

BTW, is your DC older?

We don't know that racial profiling is an issue here. IF as the OP was told, "many communities prepare for the test", and her child belongs to that community, then certainly her race is being considered in deciding whether the test results are legit or not.
It really does seem like there is a major handicap trying to go into AAP from private school, and possibly an additional one if you're Asian. If they don't count test scores and GBRS, and they couldn't possibly tell whether a child did their samples at home/school (and the ones done at home have no value), then what are they basing their decisions on?
