At many schools, Level II is a push-in rather than pull-out. This means that more advanced materials will be provided for the kids who are Level II. If your school has an advanced math class for 1st and 2nd grade, that class is the implementation of Level II. Likewise, if your child is reading higher level materials and doing different worksheets, that is also Level II. Level II is just the fancy way of saying that your child is receiving some above grade level content.

Level II pull-outs are not necessary. @ my DC school, class teacher does that. AART does not participant in that process except sending the letter. Level II does not provide anything special, think of it as a badge and nothing more.
