Do you know anything about the history of performing arts? Just because entertainment has been depoliticized, it does not mean that there isn't a long history throughout civilization of using it for such.
I think Trump and Pence are going to have to get used to these kinds of "attacks", because so much of the arts community does not support them. Maybe that's more evidence of their elitism, but there you go. I also don't think the language used in this statement was particularly offensive. I'm surprised by it, but in a capitalist democracy it is their right to use the platform afforded by their financial privilege. Some people will boycott them over this, but they obviously don't care.
Wait for this years White House Correspondents Dinner.

This first world problem - as reflected on some of the posts in this thread - is an East/West Coast issue that doesn't affect Middle America.
So to the morons in the audience cheering or those cheering on this thread? Hamilton "protesters" were preaching to the choir.
only reinforces how Trump won the EC b/c of Middle America

The show is already sold out through most of next year, with ticket demand pent up for years to come. They won't miss you, but you will miss out on a fantastic piece of art. Your loss.
You can get tickets on stubhub or Ticketmaster. Good seats are about 1200-2000 dollars each.

After a grueling long week of work, the poor guy just wanted to enjoy some "arts" and relax. Instead he got treated with some political BS. They ought to refund his tickets.
