You know what also 'shakes things up'? Terrorist, bombs and wars. Shaking things up is over-rated.

Me, either. He just asked Russia to hack an American. And most people probably won't even care. ??????? ?????

but, you know HRC's server and shit.

Cyberspying by Russia is VERY serious. Cyberspying by the KGB? I mean, really? We're cheering this shit on? You people have lost your damn marbles if you don't see wtf is wrong with this.

Do you believe for a nanosecond that they are not doing this already?

Change that to HRC's dishonesty is compulsive and pathological and you would be accurate.

Face it we have two candidates who both lie - Hillary does it intentionally and Trump, for the most part, does it because he has no filter between his mouth and his brain.

You give him too much credit. He is also plain dumb when it comes to political matters. I think a POTUS needs a filter, don't you? Isn't that why Biden kind of gets made fun of.. because he also sort of shoots his mouth off without thinking.

I agree with most of what you say. The issue is why he appeals so much to millions of Americans. And if you think it is racism, you are just plain wrong though I am sure that there are some who are racists. I say this because I know people who are voting for Trump and they are not racist by any stretch of the imagination. They are just disgusted with Hillary Clinton and the establishment and feel that something must be done to shake things up and they know that Hillary sure as hell will not do it.

A couple of them actually voted for Obama.

Until there is an an attempt to understand why these people find Trump appealing without attributing it to pat answers like uninformed voters and bigots, you and others will continue to be frustrated by his popularity.

But don't you think voting for someone who is not competent for the position simply for the purpose of change is dangerous? Some of his supporters are hoping that his advisers and other seasoned Repubs will reign him in, but as a POTUS, what he says on national TV and how he says it matters.

It's in fact the same reasoning that led to the Nazis. They were unhappy with the way things were, so they wanted someone to shake things up. Many Germans did not believe Hitler was as bad as he seemed, they knew change was need, and the alternative was the Communists, who they thought were even worse. Were getting the same thing now - He'll change things and he's better than alternative. And he doesn't really mean any of it anyway.

As Reagan famously said.... “There you go again.”
The comparison to Hitler is ridiculous. And, the more you do it, the more people support Trump.
Yes, he is unfiltered. That will likely get better once elected. Yes, he says some things that make me cringe.
But, he speaks plainly and frankly and the American people are so damned sick of “political speak,” particularly after that past 8 years.
The fact that Trump will be at the podium for over an hour, answer all questions, and speak in a way that the average American understands is so refreshing.
This is why I am looking forward to the debates.

Comparison is not ridiculous, in fact those were things that were said about Hitler as well.

And nobody gives a shit what an anonymous poster on DCUM says, so stop making it like some huge audience of fence sitters is reading our posts and thinking, "If anonymous says "Hitler" one more time, that's it, I'm voting for Trump."

If you think that Russia needs an invitation or permission to do any hacking, you are totally naive.
He didn’t ask any such thing of Russia, or anyone else.
And, if Russia DOES have her emails, they got them long before today.
His comment was sarcastic and meant to cause the media’s and the liberal’s heads to explode.
It worked. And, it reminded the American people that Hillary deleted as many emails as she turned over, just in case anyone forgot.

Go back to the beginning of this thread. This topic has been discussed ad nauseam.
Compare it to Obama’s statement of “visiting 57 states.”
The discussion begins at 12:17 today. Page 3 of the discussion.

Trump did not tell the Russians they should hack into anything. You cannot hack into a non-existent server. This is rather basic. He said that if the Russians had the deleted emails they should release them - and in a tweet after the press conference he said they should release it to the FBI.

Semantics. Just stop.

It is more than semantics. Telling anyone to hack into someone's email is possibly a crime.

Good lord you don't have a leg to stand on. Do not even utter the words email and crime in the same sentence and expect anyone to take you seriously.

ha ha.. Good point, pp.

I thought his reference to Jon Lovitz during the press conference was hysterical.

Loved Jon Lovitz in the “liar” skits.
Too funny.
