My DD is absolutely eviscerating her school, no, not an Ivy but smaller school that's well regarded. Hell, if it was up to us she would've gone to St U. and saved the money. She is incredibly well prepared both academically and emotionally. My DD was squarely in the middle and I'm glad the grades didn't come easy.

I'm sorry but what does this even mean?
I gather the poster means that NCS and Visitation sit on their laurels.
I'm sorry but NCS does not hand out grades without effort and it's not a school that if you attend and get so so grades the name of the school will get you into any college alone. They do not make this promise and they strongly make it known that attending the school isn't a piece of cake. I have to question the judgement of any parent who thinks their daughter will get into a top college just because she warmed a seat at the school. This thread like a conveyor belt is getting worn out by the constant nonsense being posted.
Exactly! Former parent here. Brown AD came to speak to parents about the process and one parent had the nerve to actually ask her if an grade from NCS meant more than same grade from Wilson, or if all things bring equal the girl having gone to NCS would mean more to the college than if she had gone to Wilson. The African American Brown AD said no, unequivocally no, we don't favor a child because she went to an elitist private high school over a girl who did just as well coming from an urban high school. In fact it would be the opposite.
