For those of you who do not do your husband’s laundry, do you have separate hampers?

No, he has been doing his for years. He also takes care of most of his dry cleaning as well. Even before he retired and was a hot shot CEO he did his own laundry. He’s well trained.

A good husband does the laundry.

I do all of the sheets, towels and colors. DH handles the whites.

The laundry room is off our bedroom and I sort/fold the clothes on the bed. I put away DHs things because I see no reason to leave them piled up somewhere until he has time to deal with them when the dresser they go in is literally three steps away from where I'm standing and I know where everything goes.

SAHM. I wash and put away all laundry. I refuse to iron though. Work shirts get sent out.

DH tends to throw colors and whites together as well as lint-producing with lint-attracting items so I do most of the laundry. Nanny does kid’s. Works for us.

As a Type A person I organize and clean out DH's drawers and closet every quarter. (He'd like it if I bought all the clothes and purged clothes too). So yeah I know exactly where all of his things go. If left to his own mess, DH's drawers and closets would be a disaster. He cooks, grocery shops and pulls his weight in other areas, but organizing is my sphere in our marriage.

When I do the laundry, I do it all; when my husband does the laundry, he does it all. I do more laundry than he does, but there are plenty of chores that he does more often than I do.

I think it's very important for our children to see that Daddy does laundry, too; when they are looking for a favorite shirt or whatnot, they are just as likely to ask him for help as they are to ask me. They see laundry as the work of all adults in the house, not just moms, and that's the way it should be. (When they are old enough, they'll do their own laundry.)

I hired a housekeeper with DHs money. So, I guess, technically, he does all of our laundry.

Yep! DH does maybe one load of his own per week.

If he puts it in the basket, I’ll wash it and put it away. I sometimes make his lunch but I make most dinners so I’ve asked him to do his lunch most days.

DH has to get up at 4AM and has a 1hr commute. I like to do the little things to make his morning easier. Sometimes I put k cups next to the Keurig for him with a thermos, ready to go.

DH does all the lawn/yard/house maintenance. He will repaint the bathroom at 9PM at night if I ask him to. I enjoy providing and caring for him, acts of service are absolutely my love language.
