why not, the county coroner did it. How the heck is someone in jail for 3 days going to get that much weed in their system ?
The cops must have been back there puffing with her.

I was referring to the cuts on her arm.

The Washington Post reports that Sandra Bland attempted suicide earlier this year after the loss of a baby [reported elsewhere as a miscarriage] and was feeling "very depressed" on the day she was arrested and locked up, according to a handwritten intake screening form.

The document also mentioned the recent death of her godmother.

The jail staff had not received the required two hours of annual training for the detention of suicidal inmates. The jail also failed to comply with rules requiring guards to observe inmates face to face every hour.

My personal comment: even without the training, how could any employee possibly not see the danger signs? The revelation about the suicide attempt was supposed to have prompted guards to notify the magistrate and local crisis center.

can they prove that those handwritten intake docs have not been doctored?

In either scenario it's damning against the jail, doctored meaning she was murdered or authentic meaning they did mishandled the intake of a detainee at very high risk for suicidality (which would be their fault). Either way they are at fault for this woman's tragic death.

How on earth did she get so much marijuana into her system IN jail?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3172493/Sandra-Bland-smoked-swallowed-MARIJUANA-inside-jail-died.html

Very suspicious to me.

I saw this article about Black womens' experiences with the police and wanted to share: http://mic.com/articles/122714/5-black-women-share-their-experiences-with-the-police?utm_source=policymicTWTR&utm_medium=main&utm_campaign=social

I'm also reading that the amount of marijuana in Bland's system was so high at her autopsy that it's basically impossible it was from 3 days before. So, either she was smoking pot in jail, or it was basically forced into her system to make her less credible.

No, it doesn't. The question is not, did she have marijuana in her system? It also isn't, how many people who get pulled over have marijuana in their system? It's, how many people who have marijuana in their system get pulled over, compared to people who don't have marijuana in their system, controlling for confounding variables? There are presumably plenty of people who have marijuana in their system and don't get pulled over, arrested, hauled out of the car, etc.

1) he did not cite the stop sign when he pulled her over
2) he did not order her to put out the cigarette.

These are important distinctions.

And the first one is irrelevant because THERE WAS NO STOP SIGN.

Actually I am one of Bland's defenders but I do believe there was a stop sign when she first pulled out onto the road where the cop already was. It looks like she blew through it. When he makes his U turn to follow here you can see the stop sign.
Did you watch all of the video including the part with his u turn?

I watched it five times and there is no stop sign. And he didn't mention a stop sign her cited her for pulling over to avoid him. Watch it again. And again if you have to. There is no stop sign.

There is a stop sign when she turns onto the road, and she doesn't stop. But the cop does not mention it when he pulls her over.

Yes, she was arrested for contempt of cop. She might have had a case for wrongful arrest. But that doesn't really explain her death.
