Why not just ask a family already at the school? I believe the incoming Upper School Head was announced in the school community a while ago.

I agree it's a little obnoxious, but perhaps it's well-intentioned. If you really care, why don't you start a new thread on "New US Head at NCS" and ask if anyone has the scoop.

The point about trying not to focus on one individual in a thread is well-taken. "I like school X because" or "I hate school X because" has a different feel from focusing on a specific individual at a specific school, although I agree the latter certainly happens often enough.

Apparently the new upper school head has been selected but they have not made the announcement yet, probably to keep the focus a bit longer on thanking the departing upper school head, a wonderful person.
