Anonymous wrote:Yes, as someone who has lived in several major cities which allows me to compare it fairly, DC is very very conservative in terms of dress, and in terms of women stepping even one inch outside of what is expected, mostly from women. Go figure. Even younger women toe the line. Not everyone works as a lawyer or in a boring government job. For a city with many wonderful museums, it surprises me how frightfully dull it is.
